Help needed for Annotating

I'm trying to mark one Bible translation so that I can see what passages I have preached on, putting my sermon notes in the text portion of the Bible note so it will pop up when I hover over the annotation icon.  This is what I did in Libronix 3, using a combination of highlighting or underlining, depending on how the passage was used.  When I imported the notes from Libronix 3 into Logos 4 these were all kept in tact.  So far so good.

My problem is in adding new annotations in Logos 4.  In order to have this show in only one Bible translation I have to highlight the passage and then use Selection from the drop down menu, then Add note to ... (whichever file the current passage belongs to).  When I do this it ends up highlighting the passage.  I can change the color of the highlighting, but there are times when I only want the passage underlined and I haven't been able to find how to change this.

I have tried using the Highlighting panel and trying to erase the highlighting, and also trying to highlight the highlighted passage and changing it to underline but all that does is add underlining.

Anyone have any suggestions, or is this something that can't be done?

You can add a note manually by opening the notes file, clicking Add Note, typing the passage reference for the title of the note, and then the note contents in the space below the Title. You will be able to Ctrl+click on such a note to get to the associated Bible passage (in your preferred Bible), but you won't be able to go the other way (from Bible to note) because there will be no little post-it flag marking where the note is in the Bible.

Another way to do it is just right click on the first word of the passage your note refers to (rather than selecting the enter passage first). Then do the "Add note to..." as you've described above. This will create a note which is linked bi-directionally and it won't be highlighted, but the verse reference for it in the Notes file will be just the first verse of the passage range. You could put the full passage reference at the beginning of the note contents to remind yourself that it refers to more than just the first verse. The other problem is that this will show the note in all versions, which you didn't want.

So I don't think there's any way to have the note show up in just one version but not have the passage highlighted and be able to see the little note marker.
