Resource indexing issue (Kyle's area) but best understood by Catholics.

What is wrong with this picture?

Both documents are treated as a single block of text so through the Command line, I can open them only to the beginning. However, the Papal Document is tagged with a single Milestone. This means that with the Search I can find references to and occurrences of the document. Nifty right?

However, the document from the Pontifical Council has no "Pontifical Council Document" milestone. That means I cannot search for references to and occurrences of the document. All I can do is a text search on the title and abbreviations I happen to know. Not very accurate. Very uncool right?

Proposal: All church documents must be given at least one Milestone to support the required search functions of reference to and occurrences of.

I would suggest fixing this before the Biblicum scholars find the issue.

I think I understand what your'e getting at but the Papal Documents data type was created to support Documents in the Apostolic Constitutions and Exhortations of Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis.

What you're suggesting would require either completely changing the parameters of what the data type was intended to do or create something entirely new.

I agree. I would suggest a data type for Curial documents (documents produced by the various offices of the Curia) that would cover a broad range of documents.

I've made a case to get one created. It'll need to be weighed against other priorities. And to be honest, its something I've considered for awhile but haven't been able to get to making
