New American Commentary
This series is not in any Logos 8 Baptist product which makes this an oversight since the publisher is Broadman and Holman and most if not all the authors are Baptist. Could someone see why this product was neglected and left out of Baptist base packages please?

The New American Commentary series was bundled with Logos 6, and with Logos 7 Baptist base packages.
I imagine that when the Baptist packages were redone for L8, it was the NAC's turn to be removed to make room for different resources. Perhaps the NAC will be reincluded for L9.
(The NAC is still available in other L8 base packages.)
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I think it might be this and it might be because Faithlife was working hard to reconfigure the Standard packages, beefing up the commentary offerings there and NAC was one of the few almost complete sets they could use to make those packages more attractive. I do think they succeeded in designing great Standard packages this time.
While NAC has a strong Baptist background, it is a highly respected commentary outside of Baptist circles. That, plus its nearly complete coverage of the entire Bible, put it in a fairly small set of similar commentaries FL could use to bolster its standard offerings. I, for one, (and I'm a Baptist pastor) think they made the right choice. Overall the Baptist offerings are not as compelling this time around, as you, Matt, have observed.
My thinking about all these packages is that Standard should be the logical starting place for almost all of us, and the denominational packages should 'supplement' otherwise strong Standard options. For L8 that seems to be the way FL was thinking.

Thanks Mark and Petah. I have owned NAC for a long time and this time around own all the base packages which is how I found it because I was tagging commentary by denomination and did not see a Baptist tag on NAC so went and looked and nope not offered in L8 for Baptists. So people buying Baptist base packages for the first time are missing a standard Baptist commentary.
