How do I rename the Title of one of my notebooks?

It is probably in one of the training videos, but I am not sure how to get to a list of the LOGOS 8 notebooks.

Frank, I am unsure what question you are trying to ask. Your title seems unrelated to your post:

I am not sure how to get to a list of the LOGOS 8 notebooks.

Click on the "docs" menu and filter for "notebooks."

That is a tougher question. I thought it would be easy, but I can't find a way to do it! I even thought that a back up means would be to visit documents.logos.com, but that didn't work either! I hope someone can tell us both!

Move your mouse over the notebook in the list of notebooks. A triple-dot button will show up. Click that to view a menu that includes a Rename option.

Why can’t this be done in the documents menu?

A question I ask myself every week...

Right-click -> Rename would be so intuitive!

I do not see the triple vertical dots. I am on the windows version of Logos 8.8 SR1 How did you get there?

Are you sure you're in the notebooks section of the Notes tool - or in the filter section? Look very closely into Mark Smith' screenshot, he indicated the notebook section tab with a red arrow

I haven't tried it but here's where it seems you can do this:

    Pastor, North Park Baptist Church

    Bridgeport, CT USA

Glad you got there with Mark's answers. It took me a few tries as well. For others who may stop by, here is a step-by-step guide, including one secret door. Right-click would be so much easier.

    1. Select Docs.

    2. Double-click to open the Notebook you want to change.

    3. Secret door: Click on the gray-out Notebook icon next to the Filter icon (here I have floated the panel to make screen capture easier).

    4. Now you will see the elusive three dots next to the Notebook name. It's all downhill from here...

    5. Left-click on the three dots and a drop-menu appears. Select Rename.

    6. Type in the new name and press Enter. And you're done.

The tab title (under the top-most red circle) may not change instantly, but it will catch up eventually.

THANK YOU! Success. This function could have been made so much easier than w this "secret door" find of the elusive 3 dots!

On some of my notebooks the "Rename" and "Share" options are greyed out. Why?

Are they notebooks that were shared others that you have picked up?
