Adding Video and text

I have a few videos taken from smart phones I want to add to a presentation... no problem.

But is there a way to layer text over or beside the video?  I can't figure that part out.

I don't believe there is. You would probably have to add any captions or text in a video editor and then upload the finished product to Proclaim

    Hello,

As Fred mentioned, you may prefer to use a video editor for this.  You could add the video as a background to a content slide, and display words over it, however this will remove any audio from the video you are adding.

That would be a really cool feature to add though

    Hello,

Perversely, if you add the video as background to a Song Item you can still overlay text (spoofing as song words) and retain the ability to play the soundtrack from the video.

Some design decisions leave me perplexed. ;-)
