[PB] Handel's "Messiah" libretto
More information about Handel's famous oratorio "Messiah" here.
Note that all the text of it comes directly out of Scripture, though the order and wording of it was selected by the librettist, Charles Jennens, from the King James Bible and from the Coverdale Psalter, the version of the Psalms included with the Book of Common Prayer.

You're welcome. I am between two times of hearing it performed this year. Heard the Cantata Singers do it Nov 30. Going to hear it performed again tonight by the Vancouver Bach Choir at the Orpheum downtown. I never tire of it! I'm missing my church's usual sing-along Messiah service which we couldn't do this year because the soloists we usually get were otherwise occupied. I was preparing our service of Lessons & Carols for Dec 22 and wanted to put the Isaiah 2 passage in the familiar wording from Handel's Messiah (which is pretty close to KJV but not exact) rather than the NRSV which we usually use for our readings. So that's what prompted me to make a PB of it. It's ideally suited to reading in Logos!
