On the Logos side, the Classic Commentaries and Studies provide inexpensive volumes ranging from very useful to meh ... I would suggest a similar set of resources in Verbum only based on authors. The first collection I would like to see would be Adrian Fortescue - his works cover Eastern rites, liturgies, heresies . . .

His bibliography as given on Wikipedia, the proposed collection: Note he died in 1923 - the later dates are reprints. In addition, FL already has three of the titles in their catalogue.

  • (1908). The Greek Fathers  London: The Catholic Truth Society
  • (1908). The Orthodox Eastern Church London: The Catholic Truth Society.
  • Cobham, Claude Delaval; Duckworth, H.T.F.; Fortescue, Adrian; Gedeon, Manouel Io. (1911). The Patriarchs of Constantinople  London: Cambridge University Press.
  • (1912). The Mass: A Study of the Roman Liturgy  London, New York: Longmans, Green & Co.
  • (1913). The Lesser Eastern Churches London: The Catholic Truth Society.
  • (1917). Donatism  London: Burns & Oates.
  • (1918, 1934). Ceremonies of the Roman Rite Described. Burns, Oates & Washbourne Ltd; 5th ed edition.
  • (1994). Latin Hymns. Roman Catholic Books.

As second collection of a quite different nature could be Frederick William Faber (not to be confused with George Stanley Faber) - very incomplete list:

  • The Cherwell Water-Lily and Other Poems (1840)
  • Sights and Thoughts in Foreign Churches and among Foreign People (1842)
  • The Styrian Lake and Other Poems (1842)
  • The Rosary and Other Poems (1845)
  • An Essay on Beatification, Canonization, and the Congregation of Rites (1848)
  • All for Jesus, or The Easy Ways of Divine Love (1853)
  • Growth in Holiness, or The Progress of the Spiritual Life (1854)
  • The Blessed Sacrament, or The Works and Ways of God (1855)
  • Poems (1856)
  • The Creator and the Creature, or The Wonders of Divine Love (1857)
  • The Foot of the Cross, or The Sorrows of Mary (1858)
  • Spiritual Conferences (1859)
  • The Precious Blood, or The Price of Our Salvation (1860)
  • Bethlehem (1860)
  • Devotion to the Church
  • Notes on Doctrinal and Spiritual Subjects (2 volumes, 1866)
  • Nobiscum Deus: The Gospel of the Incarnation (sermons)
  • All for Jesus: The Easy Ways of Divine Love
  • Growth in Holiness: The Progress of Spiritual Life
  • The Life of Saint Rose of Lima
  • I Believe in One Catholic and Apostolic Church
  • Faber's Hymns
  • Bethlehem
  • Oratory Hymns
  • The Month of Mary
  • An Essay on the Interest and Characteristics of the Lives of the Saints with Illustrations from Mystical Theology

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
