SUGGESTION: Comparative liturgical calendars interactive
We have all seen liturgical calendars in a form similar to:
As the old calendar fades into history, it becomes less likely that someone reading a sermon for Septuagesima will remember where it falls in the year etc. etc. I envision an interactive with an inner circle and an outer circle - one for the current liturgical calendar, one for its immediate predecessor. It would serve to translate between calendars. I would like the start of the liturgical year clearly indicated. That would make me happy.
If one could choose what displayed in the two circles, and had additional options for the Byzantine, Anglican, and Lutheran calendar for which we have lectionaries (the last two are primarily different terminology) I would be ecstatic.
If one went further and did the much more difficult task of fitting the Jewish calendar in, I would be singing Verbum praises to the moon.
