Which word processor do you use for docx? The characters with the diacritics from https://laobible.net/lao/Matthew1.html gave me a crippled font in Word, LibreOffice, TextMaker and in Logos
Image is from Logos.
It works in BBEdit, CotEditor, Pages. But in no one that uses docx.
It’s probably the font, not the word processor.
Might be the copy/paste process too. I ran into similar issues putting together a Thai Bible.

Is this still an issue? Does Logos have an update to use Thai, Lao, Telugu, etc. correctly? If yes then a [BUG] report is needed.
Just done a new import. Used Arial (then it changed automatic to DokChampa) and Logos 9.8.
It looks pretty to for me. But honestly I have no clue. I just compare the characters.
Is one of those what you want?
