Sign Feed - UPCOMING EVENTS SIDE BAR

I'm using the SIGN FEED through Proclaim and LOVE IT!!. However, I'd like to be able to choose which calendar events are posted on the UPCOMING EVENTS SIDE BAR. Sometimes I have a reoccurring event and I don't want it listed multiple times - Just the one occurring the soonest.

Is there a way to selectively choose which events in the calendar are included in the Upcoming Events Side Bar or to choose when they appear? If that feature is not available, I think it would be one others would find helpful as well.

Glad you are loving it! We think Signage is pretty great too!

I don't think we have a way to do this at this time. We do have a concept of 'Promoting' an event, so I could see us adding an option to only show promoted events on Signage, and then that way you could choose the ones you want.

Thanks. "PROMOTING" select events would meet our needs. The only question is whether REPEATED events could be promoted by DATE or would every occurrence of a REPEATED event have to be promoted. We have some weekly events and on slower months, it's not unusual for our UPCOMING EVENTS SIDE BAR to list three weeks of occurrences of one event.

My current work around is to list repeated events as individual events and to only list them when I want them to appear in the SIDE BAR. But that limits the benefit of having a calendar that members can access and makes more work for me. An easy solution would be to have the ability to choose to include items one week out, two weeks out, a month out, or possible a choose your own date. More work for you but a great solution for me [:)]
