I came across with a map like this:

It reminded me if Logos plans to produce an ultimate map/atlas historical geography tool, the time component is important and could be included in a modern way. The locations and areas need both time and geographical coding. Maybe a large amount of work and know-how.
In most cases the information is not accurate or is debatable. How to code that? And geographical areas may change by time while the name remains same - or vice versa. The the information should be made selectable (and data user editable) according to the user preferences.
When using that kind of tool one could select a time window and then a still picture or live video.
Happy quarantine to all!
