Beta round the corner?

I have always reckoned that Logos 4 Mac wouldn't go beta until about October, but perhaps I need to revise that view in the light of today's blog which contains the following:
"The Mac version is getting really close. Yesterday we released Alpha 23. Now that nearly all of the features of the Windows version have made it in to the Mac version, there might be a beta around the corner."
It all depends how far around the corner. Personally, I think we probably need another couple of Alphas (24 & 25) before parity with Logos 4 Windows, so I reckon mid-August might be as soon as wee can expect Logos 4 Mac Beta 1.
What do others reckon?
Every blessing

as someone who can be seen as somewhat of a critic on here at times... i hope people understand that i only do so in the pursuit of excellence. i honestly am loving Logos 4 Mac Alpha 23 and now use it for sermon prep (have been for the last few Alphas). i am extremely impressed as this product continues to unfold and give major kudos to Logos and their Mac development team. thank you!! [<:o)]
all that being said - i would love to see a Beta very soon (around the corner) but yes Alan, i see your wisdom in a few more Alphas first.
my question - moving from Alpha to Beta... my understand is that this mean all of the full features would be in, and they would begin to work on optimization alone? or is there more to it than that?

I'm impressed at how much new stuff has made it into A23, but sticking the features in and having actual parity isn't the same. Take verse lists, they made it in and I'm thrilled to see them, but they aren't yet terribly useful. Still bugs to work out and features to fix before they can be used. Same with clippings. Notes has made a slight appearance in the ability to read notes, but still no sign of adding notes. They are coming, possibly even in the next release, and notes may be the only major piece left before it goes beta.
We are certainly a lot closer to a beta. I tend to agree with you, mid-August may well be a good estimate. I look forward to Logos entering the phase of focusing on performance enhancements. The alpha feels a little snappier, so it looks like they have been working on that, but I still get better response time from Logos 4 under a virtual machine than native on the Mac and I can't wait to see that change.

I agree with you guys. I think the alpha process will take a couple more alphas before it hits beta, but that is quite exciting because we seem to almost be there.
I just wish it was there when I was in Bible School. I just graduated in May and I did use the alpha for my last final project of 15 sermons, but it would have been nice to have had a fully functioning software. I will still have a lot of use for though now that I am graduated and I greatly anticipate the transition to beta and then a fully complete product.

It seems that the logos mac team has stepped it up a notch by releasing updates so much closer together than their previously normal two week cycle (WAY TO GO!).
This would make me further believe that beta will come sooner than later, maybe within the next month........[;)]
I read in some post that there will be mac specific videos made, but will that start once it hits beta or will that be held off until its out of beta? I realize that the PC videos are supposed to be just as good, but I like to see the exact mac interface, which is so much prettier than the pc interface. Maybe if Logos won't make videos yet, which I understand because they want all hands on deck to get it to beta and then out of beta, maybe someone else that uses the mac version could make some demo videos to go over the main features, especially those that have popped up within the last ten or so alphas.
