Corrupted Index files

In the past few weeks I have discovered many resources with apparent corrupted index files. I have performed a simple inline search while looking at a specific word with the resource open. The search returns zero results. I have used the rebuild index several times; each time it takes many hours to complete. I have over 17,000 resources. I also have over 100 personal books from over 20 years of Logos use integrated into my Logos library; therefore, I do not want to reinstall the entire Logos library and lose all of the personal books (I would have to manually publish each one again). I am discovering hundreds of books within my library with apparent corrupted indexes. I have begun working through my prioritized resources, checking each one individually. Even in sets of commentaries, some within the set are fine while others return zero hits.

As I discover a corrupted resource, I manually delete it from the collection. Wait a few minutes for the library to respond, then download it again and wait for the index to complete. I then test the inline search again to ensure it returns hits on the simple search.

Please advise.

Run a check on your hard drive - it may be a hardware issue rather than software.

Thanks, MJ. I have run a security scan for viruses, etc. on the HD several times in the past week. Scans over 4 million files on my 2 TB HD. All is clean. Is there another check I should run?
