i have a few ideas for streamlining some aspects of work within L4.
1. The CITED BY feature is a fantastic blessing. It would be easier to use if there could be a better way of managing the CITED BY display list. Perhaps in a way that is less cluttered in terms of managing all the resources / collections in our Library. For example, I have mytags:xxx, my renamed collections / resources and Logos' names for collections / sets . This is an unweildy list. I thought of spending a few hours organizing it , but am afraid that next time a new RC comes out - the list will be alphabetized and all my work in vain [:(]
Suggestion: Maybe in TOOLS / SETTINGS there could be a show or hide function OR an option to create COLLECTIONS of CITED BY Collections. What I mean is that for different LAYOUTS, we could have different CB Collections that we can create for different layouts. For an Old Testament Layout, Collections that would be most helpful will be the only ones visible because we control it. For our Language studies, same thing - just a few well chosen Collections.
2. Visual Filters might also be organized into VF COLLECTIONS. Some for NT verbs - tenses and moods, NT noun cases, OT/NT Person and Number, OT verbs, etc.The effect of this would be that under the three circles icon, we would have - not a long unmanagable list, but - a short list of check boxes: NT-VF 1, NT-VF 2, OT-VF 1, OT-VF 2, [or however we name them] etc.
3. My last suggestion is to move Visual Filters out of the FILES area. These are more SETTINGS than FILES that [to me] ought to be restricted to my study notes and biblical research.
PS- here is another (shameful) plug for a hotkey for the Floating Window. I await this with great anticipation.
