Biblia.com updated (beta 3)

We just pushed out the latest update to Biblia.com.
This release includes a simplified passage view for linking to content. The share menu will now generate a link that will take you to this view. Closing this view or clicking 'more >>' will take you to this passage in the scrolling 2-column view. Our hope is that when you want to show someone a passage, this view will be much easier for them to land on than the reading view, which just looks like a scrolling wall of text at first glance.

We have also improved error handling (you should see a message when something goes wrong, instead of silently failing), and fixed some bugs.
Let us know what you think!

I commend you wonderful people for working so hard and so well. This opens up a lot of possibilities for me since I only own a single computer (desktop), but do travel on occasion.
Stick with it! It will come! *smile*
Yours in Christ, ........ Mel
BTW - I'm sure you know this, but Hebrew needs a bit of work yet! *smile*
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

Thank you for your kind words, Milford.
We are aware that there are some issues with Hebrew-- there are some interesting challenges in getting some of our resources to display properly on the web. We'll get there, but it may take a little time

I love the simplified look of this, especially when compared to bible.logos.com.
Good job, guys, keep going on this simplified track.

I wonder why search results return the pericope where the hit is found rather than the actual individual verses.
We're using a fuzzy search algorithm that lets you search using queries that match in other translations (try some thee's and thou's), but still get relevant results in your preferred Bible. In the future you'll be able to toggle this as an advanced search option. If this is bothering many people we may consider disabling it until we can add the setting.

Couldn't this wider view with cross references be available as an option for regular viewing? Also, is it possible to make the cross references in this view more useful? Right now if I click on one I lose the wide screen format, go back to two columns and can't go back to the wide screen one. Maybe a pop-up window?

You should see a tooltip if you hover over one of the verse links. We will probably add a way to get back to that view in a later release.

Ahh. All things come to those who wait as the saying goes. I was not patient enough. It takes a few seconds for them to appear on my computer. Thanks.
