Individual Logos Books Coming to Faithlife Ebooks
Late last year we started exposing the Faithlife Ebooks catalog on Logos.com to help you find books more easily regardless of whether they were Logos Editions or Faithlife Ebooks.
We've seen a significant increase in the sale of Faithlife Ebooks as a result of this increased exposure, which demonstrated to us that many of you weren't buying books because you couldn't find them.
We're planning to do the reverse of this next week. We'll be exposing individual Logos books on the Faithlife Ebooks website, so users searching for an individual book on that site will be able to find it even if it's part of the Logos catalog. We won't be adding collections at this point, but we may reconsider that in the future.
You'll be able to tell the difference between a Faithlife Ebook and a Logos Edition in the same way that you can on Logos.com: the buttons will be different colors to give you a visual cue. You'll still (mostly) buy Logos Editions on Logos.com and Faithlife Ebooks on the Faithlife Ebooks website.
The one thing worth calling attention to is that we don't yet have the Available At facet on Faithlife Ebooks like we have on Logos.com. We hope to add that in the future, but it won't be there when we make this change. If that proves to be critical to ensuring a good experience, we can roll the change back pretty easily.
I wanted to give you a heads up so you're not caught off guard when you see this change role out next week.
