Advanced button use for trackball

It would be useful to have the use of the advanced buttons for forward and back using some of the more advanced features of mice or trackballs. I have a logitech Cordless Optical Trackman, and the Logitech performance laser mouse. When inside different window panes it would be good to use the forweard and back buttons to navigate between subjects without having to go and use the arrows inside the actual window pane.
