Are there any active plans for some more traditional method oriented Bible Study workflows?  I know there are serious limitations e.g. single passage eliminates lectionary based studies; Bible only eliminates patristic commentary study; topic/themes exclude Catholic Topical index .... However, there are some possibilities that could start giving Verbum some balance:

  • typological study
  • four senses of scripture study
  • the interpretation of the bible in the church structure
  • actualization of scripture (see Just)
  • Ware's method if we can get past the non-Biblical text problem for patristic sermon

Do you have additional ideas?

If nothing is being done on this, I am tempted to try it for shared documents just to get a bit of tradition embedded.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
