How large is your library?
Mine is just over 8,000. I assume this is about average but wanted to see the size of your library to compare..

I took a 30 cm ruler and measured a random section of my print library. 13 books.
So the approximate size (largeness) of my library is ≈ ((30÷13)x10162)÷100 meters.
As you see the number of resources in my library is 10162 not including features and datasets etc.

9920 for me. But I would say that more is not necessarily better. More requires more... certainly more work to harness, utilize and tag effectively. You can easily miss the trees for the forest, even though no trees are physically harmed in the acquiring of our resources 😛.

I agree. I have a large library and any large-scale custom tagging becomes impossible. Searches have too many results, and you can easily get lost in your library. And finally, Logos slows down drastically.

Not impossible, but definitely it will take time. Each time I add more books to my library I take time to review them and tag them according. It is worth it to me to pause for a few moments to familiarize myself with my new resource and while doing so add appropriate tags. This discipline has continually proved valuable to me.

Wow! I got Logos about a month ago and I have 835 resources. I’m nowhere near some of the posters here lol. Not sure if I’ll get that high. Logos can still be very overwhelming to use but I enjoy learning how to use the software.

May I appeal to the owners to identify a worthy recipient in the event of the owner being called from this dimension.
Make sure one knows who one's library is to be bequeathed to and make sure that information is recorded in one's will.
Faithlife are very accommodating in this regard. I guess they (reverse) inherit customers this way.

I have my will all set up to be able to pass along my library one day. Our church had 8 regional universities in the USA and in my will my library is to be given to a graduating senior in the religion department of the regional university that is the closest to us, however the religion department decides.
my library is a little shy of 40,000 books.

5564 and I have been buying resources for only about 4 years. I downloaded L6 for free in 2014 and didn't start buying anything for about 2 years and finally started out buying small base packages and have finally worked my way up to the Platinum with my L9 upgrade.

And there is no easy way of counting hidden books, but I have thousands of those. I paged down through all my hidden books, counting pages at 7 titles per page and got up to 200 pages worth (1400 titles) and was still in the middle of the A's. I hid nearly all the Perseus titles (>1000) and the Library of Early English History (>25,000) and Library of Early American History (~5000), because they were mostly clutter.

I too once had the Perseus collection. Rather then spend my time hiding them, when I decided they weren't for me, I called up customer service and they locked them up so I didn't have access to them any more. Problem solved.

The resource number is 19,771. Since there are books that have already been paid for and haven't been released yet, that ups it a bit.

I have 3.157 resources english and spanish, I do have more than enough for my needs in ministry, recently I moved to another house, and it's so nice for this library to be digital.... I only have like a couple of hundreds of physical books, and it was too many boxes hahah

Thank goodness I only have the Perseus and the Early American. Thrilled to get them free and/or cheap, but just a waste of space (or bits) now. Ever since I bought Ultimate 2 years ago, I find that I already have the free, cheap, and half price books. Saves some money.

My library is about 5700 volumes. Most of the choices were intentional based on seminary training, interest, denominational affiliation, and hard-copy replacement though I've picked up a few in denominational collections that offer little and that I have little interest in. My wife encouraged me to get rid of the heavy, hard copy books, and was supportive of electronic versions... to a point.

My physical library is still larger than my electronic library. Were I to have saved the "bunch of money" you see, my life would have been poorer, my knowledge narrower, and my curiosity stunted. Put another way, I found the Early English Library well worth the cost for the psalters alone. The sermons have been a bonus. The non-religious materials are relegated to the cloud.

I agree with you Wild Eagle and it could well have been spent in things that you might no longer. I have never thought on my investment in my Logos library a wage of money. It enriches my life, allows me to step outside my own little world, to step into others shoes, to walk in times past and get a glimpse into some of the minds of the deepest thinkers humanity has known, it challenges me to think about that what I believe, for those beliefs to be more than just folk theology but instead beliefs founded on the scriptures and solid reasoning in interpreting and apply the scripture, it allows me to stand on the shoulders of giants in the faith and see things from a perspective I might otherwise have missed. At times it brings a smile to my face at others a tear to my eyes or challenges me to change and grow, to become more Christ like or it gives knowledge understanding and wisdom to serve those around me. I will never see my Logos Library as a poor invs or think about what I could have saved if I bought differently.

They are a lot. I hope the sampling is biased as people have more books tends to answer and those who has less are too shameful to say.
I‘m the later one and all I can say is I ranked almost the last so far.
And even if you bought them at great deals, the libraries you have is approaching the cost of a decent used car to some cheap new car...

There is no shame in having a small library. Just as having a larger library does not make you anymore spiritual or faithful or bring you more honour. We all have different interests and need, come from different circumstances and are in different seasons of our lives.

When I first saw the question, I wondered " what is the least you could spend (or volumes) and still get to heaven?" I assume it'd be touch and go .... 'silver I have none??', and full feature or just rented? Would Peter notice you're counting Perseus, rationalizing it has lots of greek/latin examples (but no aramaic for Peter).
The correct answer is of course 'none' ... apparently the early church did quite well with just the 'good news'. But modern times demand more. I looked back at my misbegotten life, and believe best is a preferred Bible, maybe a BKC, plus an IVP backgrounds. After that a devotional(s). The rest is fluff. Ha.
