I was trying to add a note to a passage and several things happened that I was not able to fix.

1. I was not able of do not know how to change an untitled note to a tiltled note.

2. I do not know how to delete an "Untitled Note"

3. How do I undo a "Note"?

I know the keys to delete any highlighting (Sht+Command+K) but dont know the quick keys to erase a note.

    1. There should be a pencil next to the title of the note file, click it and then you can edit the name.

    2) Go to the file menu, find the name of the note and right-click on it. Select Delete

    3) Undo the creation of a note file? or individual note? If the former use the steps in answer #2 if the latter try Ctrl + Z, if that doesn't work hit the red x to the right of the note that appears when you hover you cursor over the note

    Hope this helps

Kevin's answer assumed you were trying to give a title to an untiled Notes file, which is different from an untitled Note within a Notes file. Since his answer didn't help you, I'm assuming you meant the latter. I'm on Windows so I don't know if the Mac version is developed as much (I know Notes are one of the features that isn't finished on the Mac yet) but if it's working as it should (as it does on Windows) you should see the word Title in grey in italics where the note title would be if there were one. There's no box there so it doesn't look editable, but if you click on it, a box will appear and you can type a title in it.

Kevin's answer should work to delete an Untitled Notes file. But again, in case you were referring to an untiled Note within a Notes file, I'll give you a different answer. And again the caveat about "this might not work on the Mac yet" holds.  If you hover your mouse over the title area of a note (whether it has a title or not) a red circle with an X in it should appear over to the right of that note title area. Click the red X to delete the note.

Ctrl+Z is the standard keystroke for Undo in all Windows applications (not sure about Mac, but I'm pretty sure Logos uses Ctrl+Z on the Mac as well for consistency). But it does not work to undo creating a Note or a Notes file. However it will work to undo deletion of a Note. But only if you do it immediately after deleting the Note. It does not work for undoing deletion of a Notes file. These cases where it does not work should be fixed, IMHO. They are things people might want to be able to undo.

Greg, I apologize. I did not recognize that this was in the L4 Mac forum. As I understand it the Mac version (I haven't use it in a long while) can see note files created in the Windows version but you can't edit them yet.

This very frustrating.  None of these methods work.  One question, is Notes completed in the Mac version?  I trying delete the "Untitled Note" I have created other "Untitled Notes" that can not be deleted.

If the 'Notes' is completed then may I suggest a fix.  Improve the method for deletion and making notes.

Notes can not be created, edited or deleted in Logos 4 for Mac yet. It is going to be released in the future.

I understand and again thank you for the time and helpful Information.  However, I have the following information and issue to share.  While I was reading a book I highlighted a selection of text and then right-clk and was able (at that time) to select note and made the selection.  I ended up with the following and want to know if I can delete any of this at this time?

The selected text is highlighted in yellow with two small boxes at the beginning of the selection.  When I click on the area of the note in the book and right click I get the following in a pop-up dialog box. -> at the bottom on the right side of the divided window -> "  Another way to think about this is: I can make a highlighted area with a box in the front of the selected text, on a book page from a slection I have made, with no information in the note, no way to label of change the note heading from untitled to something else, BUT I cannot get rid or undo the yellow box and highlighted text.

'Add a Note to "Untitled Notes (2)" '

'Add a Note to "Untitled Notes" '

    'Add a Clipping"

FYI - Finally the box that pops up changes with different entries on the left side.

    JCJN,

I Answered this on your other thread.  Please see screen shot.  Float your pointer on note and it should give you an option to delete note file.
