"“Ten Minutes with the Word” are 28 Bible Lessons based on the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Each lesson starts with a statement explaining what the topic is about. They are designed to introduce an individual to the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The user is encouraged to make a decision based on the lesson studied and there are links to material on the Biblical Research Institute’s website for advanced reading. Possible answers for each lesson are given at the end."
The Adventist Pathfinder youths learn to teach one of the fundamental beliefs as part of their spiritual training. This often is one of the first assignments where they are to speak to a group - often the entire club. This book could help. [[But it is not fair use just reading this to the club. You still have to make the lesson your own!]]

If any of our friends here on the forum that are not Seventh-day Adventist members happen to see this. Here is a place where you can be shown what SDA teach. Written by one of our frequent contributors.

That is a massive undertaking. A short book on the second coming will likely precede those lessons.

Does anyone still use the New Member Study Guides?
With the influx of new members, anything like this is a great induction course. Long term members don't realize just how much they know as it is second nature to the way they live their lives.
Speaking from experience. Also I found the Church Manual was a great help, although it took me a while to find out that there was such a thing.

Does anyone still use the New Member Study Guides?
Yes, there are some the use the New Member Study Guides. I personally have given sets to newly baptized members. Our church was running a class with the pastor and an elder leading. I was their substitute when they were not available. The class has been offered to all newly baptized but none are currently interested. It is a year long commitment and they would miss the study that everyone else is in. [[They do not know what they are giving up IMHO]]

Congratulations Pastor Williams and have placed my pre order as well today for Ten Minutes with the Word. Look forward to reading and to the next great publication from Pastor Williams who was a classmate back at Northern Caribbean University in the early 1990s. God bless.
