I am currently listening to A Church Called Tov and find it to be a very good book on an important topic. I am surprised that it isn't in FLEB. (hint hint).

Wow, that's a toughy ... in Logos-land. Tov's the great author FL has trouble with. Tov ... church .... Tov .... church?? Maybe synogogue?

I'd say more about 'good' and churchies, but my lips are (currently) sealed.

I like your posts even when I have no idea what you are trying to say. [:P]

    Something about Emanuel Tov? [;)]

Do you know the content of the book by McKnight?

Yes, Mr Hebrew (more accurately, Jewish Bible). It's interesting in Logos-land, what would quickly 'color' my scanning forum threads, is completely different from each other Logosian.  In some ways Logos is spread hither and thither, but other ways, it's a small tightly wound watch.

I don't know McKnight's work (Laura? Scott?). From the Amazon description and sample, I wish her (him?) well, but doubt success. Much like the compromises before WWII eventually collapsed the mainline protestant churches into gorgeous shells ... religious credibility matters these days.

McKnight is a prominent evangelical theologian / scholar with several well known books. He is a fairly "popular" author but not of the vein of a celebrity pastor. He comes from a Baptist / Anabaptist tradition, but has transitioned to Anglicanism.

    Laura is his daughter.

For some reason the files for this title are not showing up on the system. We're looking into getting them from the publisher. Hopefully, we'll have them soon and can convert the title! I'll keep you posted.

That's interesting. I was reading the sample, and it read like a lady talks.

Then the publisher-reviewer referred to Scot!

Then Amazon says Laura and Tish!

Then, the cover says Scot (and Laura)!
