Pre-order Price Different than Potential Billing Price
I received an e-mail about the Catholic Virtues and Holiness Collection Upgrade and decided to look at the offering. I saw a pre-order, dynamic price of $25.27 USD.
When I placed the pre-order I received an e-mail showing a price of $29.99 USD.
Why the difference?

Can you post a screenshot showing what you see when the click the Dynamic Sale Price link?

It looks as though dynamic pricing is being shown on the product page but not maintained when the bundle is added to your cart
We would need someone from Faithlife to comment further

By any chance, have you joined this Dynamic Pricing public beta?

I believe the only issue here is that the email is misleading because it doesn't show the dynamic price (and makes it look like the $29.99 is what you will be charged). Assuming you don't return anything, your dynamic price will be calculated at the time that the pre-pub order is processed into an order (when we charge your card) and you will be charged $25.27 or less -- we'll recalculate your dynamic price then based on the $29.99 price that you saw in your email combined with whatever you own at the time that we process it into an order and charge your card.

which is strange, since there normally is no dynamic pricing shown on PrePub products (in this case, only one of the books contained in the bundle even has its own product page - it's on PrePub, too. Having registered for that PrePub does not invokes DP on the bundle for me.
@Deacon Steve: Could you share the section with the included books - do you really own one of the five (maybe through WordSearch, or a base package)?
If so, even if it's a not-yet-produced-one with a star, the production and roll-out process should make sure that owners receive the book when it comes through, then are charged dynamic price for the PrePub. One also shouldn't pay twice for the book contained in the bundle when one places an order for both - i.e. Logos/Verbum should deliver the bundle first, then recognize that the PrePub for the individual work is obsolete and not charge for it.
EDIT: I wrote while Nic from FL posted /EDIT

It was unexpected at first to see all this additional pricing (and tooltip) information for a pre-pub, but I'm glad FL has done this!
I checked a few of my pre-pub product pages, but their order boxes don't have a tooltip. Does the tooltip only appear for pre-pubs with dynamic pricing?
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Not true. When no Dynamic Pricing is show on Pre-Pubs, it's a mistake by Faithlife.

That's a good thing, since you shouldn't get Dynamic Pricing on a book you don't yet have a license for!

Hello Nic,
I think I understand what you are saying. I have to say, though, that it is a confusing thing. No where does $29.99 appear on the product page as you can see from the screenshots I posted. That's why the e-mail caught me off guard a little. Why not just list the price I see on the product page in the e-mail?

Sure. Here are the "Included Books" that I see ...
Yes, I do have the book listed as "Owned." It was part of the Verbum 9 base package I purchased. When I look at that books' product page it also shows the same status as "You own this product." Here is that link:

I don't think that's correct. This 150+ pages book is contained in the older Catholic Virtue and Holiness 7-vols collection, which I own, not in the "5-vols Update" one we're talking about. I own that one (as well as the 7-vols bundle).
The book shown as owned in your screenshot is the 80page Study guide which is currently in PrePub:
https://verbum.com/product/138640/navigating-the-interior-life-study-guide
This is not currently configured as part of a Verbum base package, but as Part of the St-Paul's Center Level 3 collection. If you own that, it explains why you are getting a dynamic price. The product page for the Study Guide should show that you own it, too.

Hmmm ... It does look like I posted the link to the main book and not the study guide. Sorry about that.
I do have both the book and the 80 page study guide in my library. Yes, I also own the St. Paul Center Verbum Library. You are correct, it seems to explain the dynamic price question.
My basic question remains - why does the e-mail show $29.99 as the pre-order price for the set of resources when $29.99 shows nowhere for me in the product page or the breakout of the dynamic price. Very confusing. Hopefully Faithlife will take note and work on a clearer explanation or process.

Thanks for sharing the incorrect invoice. We're investigating.
