Has anyone used Proclaim on any of the new M1 Macs (M1 Macbook Air, Pro, Mac Mini)? I see a lot of discussion on here about Logos on M1, but I'm wondering specifically about Proclaim. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Hi Susan,There are some reviews out there on Proclaim on the M1 chip and we have done some testing our our end. Overall we've heard great things but it is not officially supported at this point. Some known issues we would like to address are related to NDI not being available with the M1 chip and also improved performance with web based items on the M1. Our team is actively working on supporting the M1 at the moment but these are some key areas we'd like to get addressed before we update our support to include M1 apple devices.

NDI is a standard for streaming videos over IP networks - and the issue relates to how this works with Proclaim on M1-based Mac platforms.
As per an earlier response in this thread this is not currently supported.
Graham is correct about what NDI is. However, since Sean’s post, NDI should now work with Proclaim on M1 macs. Sorry we didn’t get the thread updated.
I'm using Proclaim with an M1 Mac Mini from 2020 and also with a Macbook Pro 16" M1 Max, both on Monterey 12.0.1 For the most part, proclaim works as expected but there seems to be some kind of incompatibility with Proclaim playing audio for more than about 15 minutes. Every time I try to do so, even while not streaming, the audio begins to slow down noticeably, and eventually, it crashes the machine if I don't catch it in time. I end up having to quit or force quit out of Proclaim and restarting the program. Unfortunately, this has happened in mid livestream! It is definitely a Monterey and Proclaim issue because it wasn't happening on Big Sur.

I have a niche use case but I'll share.
At home, I run a MacBook Pro M1 (2020 model). I use this to prepare my Proclaim presentations and sometimes use it to preview or do portable events. I have been running it for roughly 1 year.
At church, however, we run an older Windows 10 machine for presentations (not really for presentation edits, though).
There have been no issues I can remember that are prevalent on the M1 machine.
Is the M1 now supported officially (including NDI)? Does Proclaim run natively or via Rosetta 2?
It is a Rosetta 2 app and works fine.
