Suggested Items

I wonder which brand of 'New Year' the suggested the current Suggested Item is appropriate for?
Given that we have now missed the Ash Wednesday I still think at least a nod to the Lent Season we are now in or even the forthcoming Easter event might be apposite.
Lent and Easter are significant events for quite a few Christian denominations even if their significance has not permeated as far west as Bellingham.

Mike - are you unhappy with the offerings that exist, feel that they should be in the "suggestions" bucket, or have you not been able to find any material for Ash Wednesday / Easter? I just did a quick check in Proclaim (I have the basic and Pro Media), and found 13 items with a search for Ash Wednesday, and many more than that for Easter. I am neither an employee of Logos, nor an expert in Proclaim, but if I can help in any way please let me know.

Hi Mike,
I'm sorry we missed this. We need to do better at keeping this updated, and we're trying to figure out what happened.
We'll have this updated soon, probably next week.

Thank you for your reply Jeff, and for your kind offer of help.
My post concerned the banner that Faithlife pops up in the set order offering 'Suggested Items'. The post contained an example of my strange sense of humour and a jibe at the staff for taking their eye off the ball.
As Brandon says '

It would be great if, in 'do(ing) better at keeping this updated', the person given the responsibility were somebody who understood.
- The Christian Calendar and the colours of the seasons.
- The Revised Common Lectionary and the Catholic Equivalent.
- The major festivals in some other parts of the world. ie other than the USA.
- The customer appreciation that would gush forth with the provision of useful extra slides ie Prayer Time, Offering & Tithes, Blessings, and Welcome, that complemented the timely selections offered above.
I do understand that we live in hope and even faith and have great expectations.

Great to see the staff holding a firm line for the last week.
I am sure that the Nyuepi's will be glad you are retaining at least one New Year slide for them
3. Nyepi (Balinese New Year)
March 9, 2016.
Balinese New Year marks the first day of the lunar-based Saka Calendar, which is followed by Balinese and Javanese cultures. Unlike other cultures that welcome the new year with fanfare, Nyepi is a day of self-reflection and rest. Most of the island is closed on this day, with the exception of hospital emergency wards. New Year’s Eve, however, is celebrated with large fire rituals throughout the city.
Your internationalism is commendable.

We updated the suggested media today, and you should see it the next time you open the suggested media in Proclaim.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We've already got a better system in place to deal with these, and you should expect another update around the end of the month.0 -
Thanks for getting the update done Brandon however I must admit to being a little disappointed at the lack of imagination in the selection and the lack of material with a Lent theme. What about Palm Sunday and Mother's Day are the offerings there really the best the designers can come up with?
I would have thought that being sensitive to the season and really trying to anticipate the needs of users would have provided a very good shop window for the software. Imagine the person using a free trial; would they be impressed with the staff's imagination?
I note that the next update will be just in time for Holy Week and Easter why not take some of the really good and expressive themes out for a run? How about sections for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday?
