is it possible to hide a collection

I accumulated too many resources (through great upgrading prices) that are wasting space. Removing/hiding hundreds (or even a thousand) resources one by one is hardly a good option. Is it possible to create a collection of "not-needed" resources and hide all of them at once?

if it is not available, I vote for this functionality to be added ASAP. I believe it is a win-win situation for users and LOGOS. Users get to precise control over their collections, faster indexing/searches, smaller HD footprint, and Logos gets less traffic through their servers and better respect of its customers.

What do you think?

I support anyway that Logos can give us to make hiding resources easier. The current one at a time method is too arduous and simply unnecessary with programming capabilities what they are today. Your method would work, but so would being able to drag a group of resources from the Library pane, as would being able to tag resources for elimination in the Library pane.

I also would like to see a way to unhide resources in groups, even to keep an association of a collection that's hidden together after it's unhidden, so that you can hide a whole bunch of related resources that you usually don't need, but unhide them together for a particular purpose and then hide them again after you're done with that.

I'd also like to be able to sort my hidden books list so that I can quickly look through it and see if I book I'm missing might be simply hidden. I've got so many hidden books now that this is a time consuming visual search.

It would be helpful. I would suggest the following. And yes, I want the neon green color scheme too.

EDIT: Duh. I see what you mean by hide a collection. something more like dragging a collection title from the drop down list in the collection pane to the "Hide these resources" in the Program settings pane. It would be kinda odd. Once you hide the resources it would be difficult to edit the collection. When you open it, it would be blank because the resources would be hidden. You couldn't do the collection based off a tag either. as soon as you hide the collection your tag goes away because it removes it from your computer(i think). It would then want to re-download the resource on the next sync.

Of course it is possible and it would have advantages over multiple drag and drop because I can select 70 titles with a simple query!

It would be very useful, although I have hidden just 2 books so far (Concise Matthew-Henry and NET Bible note-less)

Yes, in a way, it is a request of selective downloads. LOGOS' argument (and I totally understand their point of view and insistence) is FOR up-to-date resources for everyone. Users' desire is to select what resources they have on their machines. The latter answers "What?" question, and the former "what kind?"

I don't want to sound too critical (I love innovation and out-of-the-box thinking), but the feature to hide collections or numerous resources at once is a lot more functional than the automatic shape recognition http://community.logos.com/forums/t/19784.aspx
so I urge LOGOS programmers "these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone" (Mt 23:23)
