Quickest way to compare how Bibles translate a Greek/Hebrew word

I am looking for the quickest way to compare how a collection of English Bibles translate a particular Greek or Hebrew word in a particular verse.

I can do this with the Text Comparison tool, but it is tedious and time consuming. I have to scan down through all of the translations to find what appears to be their translation of a word.

It would be great if it were possible to click on a word in the Text Comparison tool and then have the translation of the same underlying Greek or Hebrew word be highlighted in all of the other translations. This would obviously only work with reverse interlinear Bibles.

Alternatively is there some way to do this through a search of multiple Bibles and to group in the Analysis view the various Bible translations of a word?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I keep the Information tool open and then review the translation section. It shows how each word I click on is translated on all my reverse interlinear texts. For non-interlinear, perhaps a collection of those with the text comparison tool would work.

That's what I ended up with. I have my translations going back to Wycliff arranged by date. True, for quickest, the RI's answer the mail. But then one doesn't know if that was a recent change, a temporary standout, or what. So, quickly scanning the translation trend narrows it down.

If you right-click the small arrow at the top-left of that section, you should get a popup menu that includes the Copy option.

Is there any way to copy the text of all of the Bible versions within the Text Comparison tool? I could not find any copy command, but I can copy the text with the Print/Export command. However, it has all of the markup for differences.

It is too bad that there is not more consistency between various parts of the program in how to copy text.

The right click Context menu works for Passage lists, but not for search results.
For search results you have to use the Print/Export command, which involves a lot of steps.
For the Information panel, there is a hidden context menu under the facet icon for a section, rather than in the text of that section.
There is no Print/Export command for the information panel, so no way to print or copy all of that information at once.

More examples could be given. Since the same functional command (copy text) requires a different method for various parts of the program, it makes the use of the program confusing and harder to learn. A consistent of user interface is helpful for any program.

I completely agree. Logos is not the most intuitive program to use, and the inconsistency makes it even more challenging. If you have more examples of inconsistencies, please post them here:

I sincerely hope that Logos will one day implement these changes. It would make a big difference.
