What might be better is if you had the ability to "archive" your previous answers & then be able to access them later to compare your current answers to your former answers. I find that sometimes my thought process has changed or I see growth from my previous answers.
While I may never use any of the workbooks I own (I'm pretty sure I own some, though I'm not exactly sure which ones), this suggestions does sound like a valuable option.

My main complaint are the inconsistencies in the user interface. They significantly reduce usability. I tried to list them in a post here in the forum but FL only responded with a fairly generic e-mail after my second e-mail to them.
https://community.logos.com/forums/t/197602.aspx
Some of these inconsistencies should be easy to fix but I guess these inconsistencies don't have a high priority for FL.

The single most frustrating issue i have is the way in which the Library is updated any time you tag a resource (not the fact that it is updated, but the intrusive manner in which it is updated). There is NO need for the yellow bar to be inserted into the library display, it could easily be a pop over instead, thus not moving the entire library down and then up again. There is no need for the update to deselect the resource you have selected just because the library is updated with the tag. This drives me bonkers, and i add tags daily. It's needlessly frustrating and intrusive. This has been an issue FOREVER.
You guys have probably listed my top 3.
The Library update issue is the worst pain ever.
I would love to scroll in Bible pop ups
Bible Browser should include Old and New Testament categories. I keep having to search book by book and it would be so much easier if I could search all of the New or all of the Old Testament at one time.

The loss of focus part of it has been fixed in 9.6 Beta 1.

That's very good to hear. Thank you, FL. However, although that issue has long been a nuisance, it is a problem that always had a fairly straightward, if tedious, workaround: just wait. Once the program finished its "think", you could proceed apace.
Far more pressing for me, I have noticed plenty of other users addressing issues in the forum that I have been noticing as well over the last couple of months related to the Note system. In a word, Notes are BROKEN...basic, fundamental word processing functions have vanished into the ether. Issues I have noticed include:
- footnotes and marginal notes failing to be copied along with body text
- total loss of basic wp data, such as indents, spacing, etc.
- copying of text failing to include the above coding
- fonts inlcuded in the note input window not displaying in the note pop-up
- erratic and unexplainable variations of serif and sans serif text in note pop-ups even though the text in note input window is uniformly sans serif.
- in the mobile app, some note pop-up windows refuse to scroll; I've even edited a note, then tried to open and scroll through the pop-up only for it to be "locked", meaning I can't scroll down to the Edit Note link to re-edit the note I just finished editing.
- availability of scrolling function in mobile app notes w/o similar function in desktop app
- other issues I know I'm overlooking
These are "smash the button and shut down the production line" concerns. FL CANNOT LET THESE ISSUES PASS...these are core features whose absence and disappearance BREAKS the program. These issues MUST be fixed TODAY...not tomorrow. NOW.

Some expandable lists have a Collapse All button.
The table of contents for Bibles does not. Once parts of the contents are expanded, only chapter numbers are visible, making it difficult to find the next book you want to jump to. The code exists. It's just a cut-and-paste to fix this.

In fact, no ToCs do, which for me can be a pain navigating around various reference resources.

Please make the suggestion on Feedbear ... it's a very good point.

I already suggested this in the Logos user feedback site. Long ago.
Does the Logos consider that feedback when fixing/adding functionality?(As a retired software engineer, I realize how hard it is to keep up with the wish lists of users.)

I like the Sermon Builder, but I wish that it were more robust.

Have noticed a few of these as well. Right now the most painful bug is that the desktop app crashes every time I try to highlight a word in the search box on BDAG.

Do you mean UserVoice? Faithlife has discontinued its use.

FL does use feedback.faithlife.com.

Cole,
Can you please clarify what you mean by the search box? Can you provide an example of what you are searching for? Do you mean inline search? Also please attach your logs. You will find instructions in my post signature.

2514.LogosLogs.colefeix.20210607-151110.zipPhilana,
Thanks for responding to this! I mean this box on the top left that shows the entry, or that you can type in to direct the resource to go to a word. When I highlight that to copy, it often crashes the app. I'm attaching the log.

I agree, If Sermon Builder's formatting was more robust I probably would use the sermon editor more.
Needed formatting improvements:
- Roman style outline numbering needed
- Styles should be assignable to keyboard commands/shortcut keys.
- Formatting via mouse takes too much time to make the Sermon Builder efficient enough to use in sermon/lesson production.
- Having both paragraph and character styles would be helpful.
- Command K shortcut doesn't work for highlighting.

Also, the Notes Tool feels unfinished and unpolished. I find it is very clunky and aesthetically unappealing to me even though some of its features are nice - like tagging and anchoring. Notes tools like Notion or even MS OneNote are a pleasure to work in... Logos Notes - not so much.

There was a time when FL (before it became FL) nearly gutted and removed the notetaking portion of Logos. The thinking was 1) nobody uses notes, & 2) FL didn't want to be in the word processing business. To my way of thinking, both of these notions were 180 degrees off. It turns out, it wasn't Notes that wasn't being used...it was the eavesdropping feature (which allow FL to monitor note usage) that wasn't being activated by customers. Also, being in the word processing business is inevitable for any utilitarian Bible software. FL has obviously recognized the need and desire for Notes in Logos, but I'm not sure they ever accepted that Logos HAS TO BE word processing software; indeed, it needs to be high quality word processing software.
It seems to me that FL's overt and covert desire is to have Logos data exported out of the program for usage, ideally into Proclaim.

One of the totally BROKEN Notes features that has popped up since L9 exploded on my various systems affects all my Hebrew text. When the wp coding vanished (as mentioned in the above post), all of my Hebrew was reversed into a left-to-right orientation. To achieve the right-to-left orientation, I have to copy Logos text into Word (which can keep that orientation with the correct tweak), edit it, and then copy into my Logos Note files, which for some reason can accept the right-to-left orientation coming from Word, but not from within Logos itself. That is a time consuming process, and so at present, unless Logos fixes this ABSOLUTE DISASTER, I have lost hundreds of hours of work. One top of that, there is the problem mentioned above that all of my beautiful SBL Hebrew font has been unceremoniously transformed into a nearly illegible sans serif font. THIS MUST BE FIXED NOW.

Oh, and I just remembered another fiasco. Workring in the Mobile app, I tried to copy some Bible text and paste it into a note window and the result was as if I had taken a screenshot. All the note icons and highlighting features that I've added to my Bible were included in the paste. I have never had that experience before. For the last 15 years, when I grab Bible text and paste it into a note, all of the note icons and highlights are ignored, just as you totally expect them to be.
To be honest, it feels like the Logos I'm using now has been highjacked and scrambled by ransomware hackers demanding ransom before unscrambling the code...and FL is just refusing to pay them off.
60 Minutes did a story on ransomware this past weekend. I wonder if should contact them about what's happening with Logos?

From a quick test, this seems to be the case on Android but not iOS.
I recommend starting a new thread on this in the mobile app forum.

Another BUG in my opinion is that the underline in the Mobile app is so slight as to be virtually invisible. I came across a note I wrote in the desktop app that said, "See underlined text", and I literally had to change to my "up close" glasses after scanning the note 2-3 times and not seeing the underlined section.
The majority of the problems I'm describing are basic, mostly vanilla features that functioned normally in the past but which are now just broken and/or have disappeared.

Yes, the footnotes are a continual problem. When I turn off "Copy Footnotes" in the program settings, it gives me nothing of any kind of note. When turned on, it gives me both footnotes (which the original author of the work wrote, and which I want), PLUS all the hyperlinked abbreviations (like, v., cf., OT, etc.). I don't need the abbreviations, just the footnotes. Interestingly, if you use the Print/Export feature, the abbreviations do not appear when you print, but they come with an export. This is an inconsistency.
The fix I want is for genuine authored footnotes to come with the text, but not all the hyperlinked abbreviations.

Running 11.3.1. I will go ahead and update, but this has been happening (not every time but often) for about a month.
