Thank God! My Logos has been updating regularly and I have not experienced one set back. Everything has continued to work without issue. I didn't even know I was being updated. I am on Windows 10 Pro now with Logos 9.5.0.0019. Be thankful we have a great tool like Logos, right?

I just want to thank Sean for the light of caution. All software has bugs and sometimes those bugs can bite! It makes no sense in my book to allow software; especially software I depend on, to auto-update. It is easy to manually update after backing up and when you have time to deal with changes and bugs that may interfere with your use of the software. Thanks Sean!

Poor me, a career in IT, many, many years with Logos (version 2 was my first), and I never had to learn this lesson. I use auto-update so I never have to think about it. I do agree that if one depends upon a given software, one must have a backup plan for update failures, hardware failures, even electrical failures. But the amount of risk that is acceptable and the amount of effort put into mitigating risk is an individual decision. For myself, a laptop on beta and the desktop on current release provides sufficient safety ... especially with the web supplementing several functions.

After this Update, Notes are very laggy. It's about half a second between me inputting and the letter showing up. I have a new i7 11gen and have hardware acceleration turned off. Please fix this. It's so hard to use notes now.
