Audio Input Causes Echo

We have an issue, at least when playing audio files using proclaim to play a powerpoint (with the transfer control to powerpoint) slide that has audio  What happens is there seems to be an echo when using proclamin. I am wondering if our input device in proclaim is picking up the audio that powerpoint is playing in our Sound Board and that causing the echo? I can see the green bars in the proclaim audio input when playing the powerpoint.

Any suggestions? or perhaps I way off and something else is causing this issue?

I think you have almost hit the nail on the head Gail.

If any of the microphones in the sanctuary are live when you use your PowerPoint, or potentially any other pre-recorded media, there is a possibility of either echo or feedback.

I would guess that you won't be needing the mic on the presentation computer? Turning that off before you start would remove one source of trouble.

Then, making the rule that only one sound source at a time should be live, will sort the rest.

Except I muted all the mics and still had the Echo. If I played it in powerpoint I didnt have that issue.
