I hadn't noticed the monthly Hot Buys until a few months ago. They haven't officially been added to the monthly sale page. I did spot this one in my wishlist though:

Pleased you found some you wanted in the Zondervan Academic sale.
Hot Buys are added mid-month on the Monthly Sale page. They tend to stick around for up to a week, but aren't on the Monthly Sale page at the start of the month.

They should have an alert 🚨 for those 👍

Many thanks Paul. This hot buy is now in my library[H][Y]
So why have this BST NIV SB if someone already owns the BST commentary series?
So why have this BST NIV SB if someone already owns the BST commentary series? DAL
One reason might be that rather than downloading the whole commentary series to your mobile device you can just download the study Bible and get the highlights. In a group study you might also just want the key points rather than looking at the whole commentary or other situations where time is limited.

that is a really good resource.
I've found a few more
I saw one today: https://www.logos.com/product/31505/academic-studies-on-the-new-testament - with dynamic pricing it comes down to $25 for me, but I think I'll pass. My money got another way: I just found out that the AMG Bible Essentials package is back...
I would say that it might lead you to a bigger article in the BST. As a study bible, it will have smaller notes so you could quickly skim what the BST might say.
The Hot Buys are officially listed now:

Perhaps FL is still working in the page, but watch the inaccurate pricing.

Another sale which came to $25.82 for me with dynamic pricing. I went ahead with the purchase. Thanks NB for the heads up.

I'm interested to see how "hot" the pricing will be on:
https://www.logos.com/product/169462/matthew
Any views on this series and in particular its value in Logos? I believe in print its accompanied by a CD Rom.
Faithlife's promotional email has just come through, but the pricing we assumed wasn't correct, still hasn't been "fixed". It feels that 20% off on some resources doesn't mirror the "hot buys" tag.
This month's Hot Buys have landed on the monthly sale page:

Nothing for me but I did notice that some hot buys disappear before the month is over, like that NIVBST Study Bible.

Correct. They appear after the start of the monthly sale and stick around for a week or so. I haven't quite worked out how long yet.
The one book with a big discount that stands out for me is:

It wasn't in my wishlist. Has anyone used this usefully and found it stands out in any way?

I've never used it but you find this interview interesting. He doesn't think Paul wrote it.

I take it that is a reference to it's usefulness rather just a comment on the price.
Marketing email for Hot Buys now come through. Deals good until 15th.
Anyone noticed any for October?
No. They're normally added by now. I have a daily reminder for 10am PT. 😉I wonder whether there won't be any this month due to the Pastor Appreciation Sale?
I went for the BST NIV SB since I got it for $8 bucks. Cheaper than the $12.99 from last time 👍😁👌 If you own an L9 base package you get an extra 10% off selected resources. Check out the sale: https://www.logos.com/new-years

Hot buys seem to stick around for an inconsistent amount of time. Some months they seem to stay until the end of the month, albeit starting a week or 10 days after the start of the month and some months (like this) they disappear early.
The lesson as with a lot of Faithlife sales is buy early if you think you might want the resource and use the 30 day return policy to review the purchase.
The whole set of videos that accompany this series of Bible Studies is on Faithlife TV, just search for “Book by Book”.

2 particularly big discounts on hot buys this week:
https://www.logos.com/product/51499/1-and-2-thessalonians
https://www.logos.com/product/15548/contours-of-pauline-theology-a-radical-new-survey-of-the-influences-on-pauls-biblical-writings
Anyone read the second book,
I have, but my perspective is probably not the normal Logosian perspective. He's a 'we' writer ... moves from declarative stated speculation to 'now that we concluded ...'. And picks out an issue (eg Paul''s use of Isaiah) but ignores surrounding issues (eg what Paul chose not to use). For $3 sure. For an hour's worth of time ... meh.
His final paragraph (though great appendices; maybe buy it for that):
"The conclusion of this study is that two major lenses have been missing from virtually all New Testament exegesis and that their absence has had a detrimental effect on properly appreciating the message of Paul. The first is the lens of the Passover and the second is the lens of a corporate reading of the texts. The rediscovery of these two factors bring a far more coherent understanding to the teaching of the apostle in the areas of Christology, salvation and anthropology."

Thanks for bringing them up. I did buy the second which is weird for me since I've never purchased a "hot buy". I usually spend way too much time calculating book buys. I'm in the mood for a radical survey.
Is there a landing page for all of the hot buys this week? I don't see them on the main sale page...
There was earlier, I even bought a few. Now it's gone! [:(]
Which ones did you buy?
https://www.logos.com/product/5123/understanding-the-bible-commentary-series-new-testament
https://www.logos.com/product/32415/the-gospel-in-genesis-from-fig-leaves-to-faith
I ended up buying the second one Paul mentioned. It ends up that it's not really a radical reading at all (at least from reading the description of the issue and his approach to solving the "problem"). In fact, that he tries to pin down the one and only way to see it is a little outmoded and contrary to the spirit of a radical reading... not even 20 years ago when it was probably ready for publication. Maybe that's what DMB was getting at when she mentioned the "we" thing above.
But maybe the virtue is in the details and the deeper explorations in the appendices and evidence he presents (rather than the conclusions) might justify my $3 spent.
I don't mean to sound critical even if it comes across that way. But it looks like his vision if the issue is less of an issue to me, and therefore, the presentation of a solution is less of a solution, and therefore, it's nothing radical.
