After the "We must send error report to Microsoft" message - The indexer itself does NOT resume - program begins and appears to act normally BUT with NO indexing having happened.
It looks like there might have been a problem updating. To fix it, please perform the following two steps:

Indexing is again happening, so all appears to be well.
(There did seem to be "multiple" download/restarts etc last night - but this one seems to be "flawless')
