Closing a Resource Tab

I like the "x" button at the far right of the tab bar for closing a resource window, but any chance of making it a little larger or somehow more prominant for us Old Timers?  :)   

It is so tiny.  Even better would be a short cut key.

    Command-W is the shortcut key for closing a tab.
