Displaying "Today" in Link Sets for Saints

Here is the issue:

I have a Linked Layout saved for four Saints Resources [Pictorial Lives...; Roman Martyrology; The Lives of the Fathers...; and Saints (Verbum)].

Has anyone figured out how to have that Link Set automatically open to today's date? As I wrote above, all the resources are linked and all work when a date is entered.

My current workaround is to open the Table of Contents in one of the resources, scroll to the top, and select "-Today-"

I would like to just click on the card in the Dashboard and it takes me to today's readings as with Catholic Daily Readings.

Any ideas?

    Assuming you're talking about the Desktop version and the book doesn't have a card to add the Home screen, have you tried adapting this article about the Liturgy of the Hours to try to add the book this way?

  • David;

    Yes, Verbum 9 for Desktop.

    Thank you for the link. It looks like that just may work.

    I'll let you know tomorrow when the day advances.

    Now, if I can only get the mobile version on my iPad 8 with the Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Case to scroll with the up/down arrow on the keyboard and I'll be all set*.

    *I did a search for that issue in Help and in the Forums. It seems that is on the "To Do" list in a future update of the mobile app.

    Unless you have a solution for that too!

    Have a Blessed Evening!

    Thanks for the advice. It did not work for me, but I think I know where I went wrong. I'll play around with it this weekend.

    I did find a card on the Dashboard that I must have set up some time ago while watching the Verbum 360 Training Videos with Fathers Dalton and Roza. It contained the Daily Readings with a tab for the Pictorial Lives of the Saints which correctly displays the date. I'll go back and review that video.

    Today is the Memorial of my namesake!

    Again, thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
