Finding Allusions and Intertextual Connections

Hi all,

I'm a long time accordance user still transitioning to logos. Anyone know how to do this kind of search in logos? https://secundumscripturas.com/2013/09/11/how-to-find-allusions-in-the-bible-using-accordance/

For some more context on this specific question, currently I’m interested in looking for links between Exodus 1-14 and Joshua 8.

I know Logos has the intertextuality tool under Bible Books Explorer. There's some limitations here. First, it only allowed me to see NT use of theOT, not OT use of the OT. Second, the connections is finds are somewhat limited, IMO. I also know that I can use the "Corpus" feature, but it seems this only allows me to see intertextual connections already tagged by Logos.

Faithlife does not guess at intertextual references but rather uses tags for intertextual relationships identified by resources they used to build the dataset. The Interactive New Testament Use of the Old Testament includes it's own documentation. Note that this reflects only one portion of the Intertextual data but it is a starting point. Verbum Tip 4ah: Bible Browser: Intertext - Faithlife Forums (logos.com) may also be of help. However, as you note, OT to OT is not included in either dataset although IIRC such a dataset is planned.

The other approach is to use the Important Passages section of the Passage Guide, concentrating on entries under Commentaries. As for the Accordance approach of a fuzzy search similar to those used to identify plagarism, Logos does not have that function.
