Another completely unreadable, unusable "ebook"... oh well, only for a dollar, not gonna say too much. I know, I know, the original efile came like this from the publisher, not FL's fault, etc, etc... oh well...

I found a VERY inefficient workaround. The inefficient workaround is to copy the text multiple lines at a time and past it into MS-Word or another word processor. Needless to say, I won't be doing that. :-)
The information is so readily available from other resources that it's not worth sweating too much about, especially considering the cost.
Just thought I would bring the issue out in case Faithlife wanted to spend time on fixing it AND to alert others of the problem.

No problem.
Your post alerted me to the book, which I purchased for testing purposes. At a buck, I thought, "why not."
Yes, at $1, it's not worth crying about or even returning. [:)]

Yes, at $1, it's not worth crying about
.... if you're even allowed to buy it.

Surprised to see a David C Cook with purchasing restrictions.

yep. But somethings seems wrong. Filtering for publisher David C Cook will work from some resources, or via the search field, but yíeld only 77 resources which are all available to me, from a publisher 3018. The book this thread is about, along with many others shows David C Cook as publisher on product sites, but clicking this invokes a search for publisher 3017 which yields no results at all. Author Jeff Lucas has 23 books listed, only 8 of which come with a publisher - and those 8 are available to international customers. The 15 others seem all to be from David C Cook publisher 3017 which is not listed in the facets.
Something seems to have broken the FLEB database.
Edit: It may be that David C Cook is different from David C. Cook, but in my library there are more eBooks with each of those spellings than the FL store has available for the publisher if one goes by the facets or search results

Strange. I'm in the US and on the FLEB site, I don't see David C (or C.) Cook listed as one of the publishers on the side facet panel. I even included all books (owned or unowned) and all geography. Maybe something is indeed broken/corrupted in the facet filtering panel?

In a different thread related to a different issue on the FLEB website, a forum member relayed a message from a FL employee that indicated something happened last week which may have caused HIS issue. It may be that his issue wasn't the only thing broken!

The site doesn't just filter by publisher. If you look at the URL generated when doing a publisher search, you'll see that it also filters for location-based availability to you.
If you really want to throw things off, after searching for "David C Cook", click on the publisher item for David C Cook in the faceted menu on the left side. It will forcibly filter by author "David Caleb Cook" instead.
