Lack of Reformation and directly related English Bibles
I'm posting this here as it is important to Reformation history.
The following English Bibles are curiously missing from Logos: the Great Bible, Matthew (or Matthew's) Bible, and the Bishops' Bible.
(Also missing is the 1560 Geneva Bible and the 1599 notes; whereas Logos has the inverse: the 1599 Geneva Bible with the 1560 notes.)
Previously I've posted this as a suggestion here: .
I do have these Bibles in other free programs (e-Sword, theWord, etc.), yet it'd be great to have a "Logos Research Edition" copy within Logos.
Please help out in suggesting these priceless Bibles that men were persecuted for and even died for.

Title pages for Geneva Bible & Notes in Logos has M.D.LX. (1560) so curious about 1599 & 1560 differences ?

(Sorry, it was my error about the Geneva Bible; for whatever reason I was mixed up when doing a comparison using various PDFs and two different programs.)
What is missing in Logos then is the 1599 edition of the Geneva Bible and it's notes.
As for a comparison between the 1560 and 1599, here is one curiosity, and there are many many more.
(1560) But now we are delivered from the Law, being dead unto it, wherein we were holden, that we shulde serve in newnes of Spirit, and not in the oldenes of the letter.
(1599) But now we are deliuered from the Law, he being dead in whom we were holden, that we fhould ferue in newneffe of Spirit, and not in the oldneffe of the letter.
(Here is the 1599 scan used for comparison: https://archive.org/details/genevabiblefacsi0000unse_h3k4)
Even better would be the 1599 Tolle Lege modernized English 1599 Geneva Bible:
But now we are delivered from the Law, he being dead in whom we were holden, that we should serve in newness of Spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
The Tolle Lege 1599 Geneva Bible is already digitized, available as a PDF, and there is even an Olive Tree software version ready: https://www.olivetree.com/store/product.php?productid=41100

Links can be weird here. Sometimes they get recognized and automatically converted by whatever software is used for these forums. Other times, you have to add a link format yourself.

Links are predictably weird. If you add a space after the URL, it will be auto-converted.

A Textual History of the King James Bible (David Norton)
David Norton re-edited the King James Bible for Cambridge, and this 2005 book arose from his intensive work on that project. Here he shows how the text of the most important Bible in the English language was made, and how, for better and for worse, it changed in the hands of printers and editors until, in 1769, it became the text we know today. Using evidence as diverse as the manuscript work of the original translators, and the results of extensive computer collation of electronically held texts, Norton has produced a scholarly edition of the King James Bible for the new century that will restore the authority of the 1611 translation. This book describes this fascinating background, explains Norton's editorial principles and provides substantial lists and tables of variant readings. It will be indispensable to scholars of the English Bible, literature, and publishing history.
