Unable to Update
Hello everyone. I hope someone can help with this.
When I launch the Logos desktop app I get a notice that an update is available and I select the option to install the update. Then I get an error message saying the account does not have sufficient privileges to install the update and I should run as administrator.
I relaunch the desktop app as administrator and try to install the update and I get the same error.
I made a desktop video so you can see what I am describing.

How can I fix this?

Is your Logos by chance installed on an external SSD that is formatted in ExFAT file system? This will bring about the behavior you describe/show (I've had that myself some time ago). The only solution for this was to back up the SSD, reformat to NTFS file system and restore.

Thanks for the reply.
No it isn't. It's installed on the main internal drive.

In an effort to fix this I (unwisely) uninstalled Logos and tried to re-install.
I now get the same error while installing.

Have you tried to manually updating?

Unfortunately, I can't now because one of the troubleshooting tips was to uninstall and re-install.
The uninstall went fine, but I get the same error on reinstall.

It would be helpful if you could provide some more information on your system. I think that there once was a bug that Logos tried to update when it ran on a no longer supported OS version, which clearly is an installer bug (IIRC that related to a superseded Mac OS version).

After uninstalling you need to remove the Logos folder from %localappdata%. Did you do this?

No, I sure didn't.
But I will do this now!
I'm really looking forward to being able to use the desktop version again!0 -
