SDA Diet
I don't know if I am still just too untrained, or still have not invested enough in Logos, but I am not stumbling upon any easy ways to study the topic of SDA diets.
Faithlife has tons of diet books, but many of them are secular titles. I did not see filters that differentiated between religious and secular popular culture titles, never mind denominations, and my software didn't bring up purchase suggestions in any of my attempted basic searches.
I searched the forum and nothing much at all came up for me.
I haven't checked the public docs section yet to look for guides. I need to do that. And watch a few advanced search tutorials again and carefully follow along substituting this topic. But before I do that, I just wanted to ask if Logos or any users had prepared anything special for this topic? I expected to fall into a bunch of links offering to sell me something, at least, but I didn't even get that.

Kathleen you probably won't find much on the forums or in Logos. In my library I have 2 books by Ellen White that might be helpful -"Counsels on Diets and Foods" and "Testimony Studies on Diets and Foods." I have another book also on this topic "Beginnings: Launching Vibrant Health Ministries" published by the North American Division Corporation of Seventh Day Adventists. One book that you may be interested in though not written by an Adventist, "The Blue Zones." In it the author talks about longevity of Adventists in the Loma Linda, California area. The Adventist Book Center website will have some books though not all written by Adventists. If you are interested I can provide some websites that might be helpful as well. Two authors that you might also find helpful are Dr. Neil Nedley and Dr. Hans Diehl. Both are Adventist physicians.

I am interested in anything you are allowed to share without breaking the rules.
I saw the two Ellen White books by searching the Ellen White books by title, But her stuff seldom comes up in any default Logos searches that are not advanced or customized. She interests me as much as the church fathers and the Britannica Great Books. There is always just so much to learn. Customizing is on the list, but the Logos training list is so long, and customization lessons keep getting pushed farther and farther down. Logos is advertised to save time, but for over a year, it has become yet another study, not a time-saver. I have to set some boundaries around time spent learning software.
Faithlife and the public library have some of those Blue Zone books. I will look into those.
Yes! I have Beginnings: Launching Vibrant Health Ministries! That did not come up in my search. Thanks!

I will google those place and names.
It must be okay to discuss a few links outside Logos, since Logos has not yet offered us anything? This is an important topic to the SDA church? Should a little something more be added to Logos 10 about food? The Logos 10 SDA package would benefit from a couple new books on Diet? Maybe also the Messianic Package? I sure would love some kind of guide that compared Messianic, Jewish, SDA, and any other religious diets.
Imagine something like the counseling guide, but for diets! How cool would that be???

Glad to help. My understanding is that we can share websites and other info as long as we are not pointing people to competitors of Logos resources. In searching Ellen White or other SDA authors use the word "health" as much of our health message is centered in diet. I think if you click on my name it will take you to my profile where I have my contact info. Feel free to shoot me an email and I may be able to help you more.

Yes, "Health" is the keyword that I did not know to use!
Thank you for all your help!
I am able to access your contact info. That is the first time I have been able to do that with someone. I have been joining some of the faithlife groups and I think that is what has increased my access to forum members' contact info.
