Counseling Guide Thread - Verbum 9
Brothers and Sisters,
Anybody using counseling guide in Verbum? When I type a topic "Depression" for instance to start a workflow using the Counseling Guide tool, it is not seeing any of my books or resources. When I looked into it, the help says that this tool uses something called a "Headword" to identify resources into the workflow. I have no clue what they are talking about. Any experts? :-)
Thank you and God Bless.

The Counseling Guide works only with resources that have specifically been tagged with counseling topics ... I believe the "headwords" refer to these counseling topics. The term "headword" comes from dictionaries and encyclopedia which are based on the word heading each article. I haven't used the counseling guide but when testing it in beta the resources were heavily evangelical in nature. To get specific books added, use the feedback.faithlife.com site and request an update of the resource(s).
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank you Smith. I did tag some of my books that I wanted the guide to use. I will try again. Thank you for the suggestion to use the feedback.faithlife.com.
God Bless.

Unfortunately, the tagging must be done by Faithlife. There are only a few cases where we can do the tagging.

Ok Thank you. A quick update. I had called Verbum support this morning. After posting the last post, I logged into Verbum and went to counseling guide. Now, when I choose a topic such as Grief, the box is filling up. Wow. They did something. I will explore more and post in this thread. Typically in catholic circles we call it Spiritual Direction.
