We're having issues connecting our SongSelect account : we get the popup to fill in username and password, but when clicking the connect button, we only get a grey screen and nothing happens.

Thanks for the report Klippan, and I'm sorry this isn't working for you.
This is a strange bug. We haven't been able to reproduce it but it crops up occasionally, particularly on Windows machines outside the United States. The logs say we're send up what we're supposed to but aren't getting the results we need.
Unfortunately, your best bet for now is to link your account from a Mac, since they don't seem to have this problem. We'll look into this a little bit more on our end and see if we can figure out what's happening.
