Is it possible to generate a reading plan from a devotional resource and have it begin with the title/intro page on the first day INSTEAD of opening to today's date?

I've made several attempts without success. This is the resource:

Galvin, J. C., Taylor, L. C., & Veerman, D. R. (1994). One Year with Jesus: 365 Daily Devotions Based on the Chronological Life of Christ. Linvingstone Corporation.

Plan settings;

Read (above book) every day, starting today and finishing in one year, by yourself

Initial display shows:

Plan Initial Display

But reading displays:

Plan Reading

When "today" in the right pane is clicked, the March 5th (today's date) reading displays - again.

When scrolling to the beginning of the resource the plan links like 'done' display but I must manually move to the correct location.

Any ideas? Thank you

    Generate a plan by right-clicking in Library and selecting "Start reading plan".

    Thanks, Dave,

    Creating reading plans is not the problem, but why does this book or plan display at the actual calendar date instead of the first chapter, like intro.

    It could be a bug, but if you follow the readings in the resource you will go through the plan; albeit very crudely when it includes introductory material.

    But did you try my suggestion as it generates a different type of Plan?

    Hi Bruce, the reason this is occurring is that the "today" link in the resource is designed to navigate to the reading for the current date.

    If you are generating a reading plan you need to set the start date to a day earlier and then check it off. Then your current reading will be for that days reading.

    Yes! Thank you, Savanna. That did the trick! I would not have thought of that.
