Highlighting Red Text Turns Black

When highlighting a passage with red letters with a custom solid color highlighter turns the letters from red to black. However, if you use the preset solid color highlighters the red letters stay red. Is there a way to make the red letters stay red when using custom highlighter?

Apparently not, as I tried a few times.

Did you try creating a custom highlighter with red text?

JT's suggestion for a workaround is what I was going to suggest as well, though it certainly isn't a perfect solution. I will write up a case and get it submitted, thank you for catching this.

Yeah, it would work, but you'd have to use a different highlighter for the red text from the black, and if you were highlighting a passage that had some of both in it, it would be a pain.
