If we import power points do they not appear as options when you go to add a song and type in the name of the song for a second use?
It appears not.......
Unfortunately, the import PowerPoint function is very simple. It just generates screenshots of each slide and imports them as images. Proclaim does not know anything about their content.
Thanks for the quick reply....so in order to reuse that same song you would need to reimport them a second time?
If so....is the standard way to use Song select and then have the ability to reuse? I used this program years ago and I am just coming back to it and I remember the ability to reuse songs that you had used previously
Are these powerpoints songs? In Proclaim, normally you would add a song item and then use song select, type or paste in your lyrics. Proclaim builds the song slides for you so you only need to paste in the lyrics and add some paragraph breaks where the slide should occur.
To re-use a song, you could add a new song item, and then type the title in to pull it up.
To Re-use any item from past presentations, go to Add Item -> Reuse. This will let you re-use anything from the past, including groupings of service items (which is how powerpoints are imported).
Lastly, if you use PowerPoint for songs due to including things like music notes, you can use the Media > Import > Song lyrics > as images option to create a new series in the media browser per PowerPoint file. And then you can add those to your presentations with the Add Series button.
