I'm on the cusp of a system overhaul, swapping out an ATEM mini with the new Constellation HD 2M/E plus some PTZ cameras. This obviously raises the level of complexity, but we don't have an increase in staffing, so I'm planning on using the Lighting cues/MIDI so that Proclaim does most of the work.
What I'm looking for input about is where to run the various pieces of software. I'll have 3 computers in the booth (Worship Proclaim, a computer for occasional live Zoom interviews, and a second Proclaim computer for Sermon slides). I want to use Stream Decks and Companion to drive the ATEM switcher and PTZ cameras and maybe even some basic lighting console changes and Yamaha console changes eventually.
So.. should the extra stuff be running on the same computer as Proclaim? Or should I have it running on one of the other 2 and use MIDI across the network? What's working for you? What pros/cons of each?
Thanks in advance.
