Is it possible to make part of a song (eg. a chorus) appear in italics?

I'm looking into using Proclaim at my church, but am a bit intrigued that formatting individual parts of a song differently doesn't seem to work. Is there any way to do this, for example italicising certain words or even whole slides? The formatting seems to apply to the entire song....

I think you are correct Josh the formatting applies to the whole song.

The main reason for italicising the chorus of a song used to be to make it easy for the eye to return to it when it was printed on a page.

With presentation software showing only one verse, or chorus, on each panel the need for the eye to be drawn back to a repeating item no longer applies.

In fact as one gets used to reading a screen having to get ones eyes attuned to varying font styles in a single song makes taking in the words less easy.
