can't install logos on my computer
Hi,
I'm trying to install logos on my computer, and I get this error message. "The selected user does not have sufficient privileges to complete the setup. Please choose Administrator from the run as dialogue."
I talked with my tech support company which runs my computer, and said I have administrative privileges on my machine. I talked to faith-life support, and they seem to think I don't have these permissions. I read on the forums that it might be an issue at the end of my computer support company. Basically, I have a work computer, and they set up my user as user@mydomain.com, and I'm listed in the administrator group. But I need to run it on administrator@mydomain.com
I'm trying to avoid calling back and forth, so any help is appreciated.
So you know, I have Widows 10 pro, it runs 64 pit apps, it's an ASUS machine. I'm guessing the issue is I'm not a top level administrator.
Thanks
.

HI Fr. Tim - and welcome to the forums
Actually Logos is not designed to run under an administrator account but under a normal user account.

Logos can run in an Administrator Account (which I've always done) but without Admin privilege. But it has to be installed locally in a domain setup.

One unfortunate thing about FL developers is that they quite often use unclear or wrong error messages, in that they state that an error occurred and a likely reason for that error that may or may not be true. I think I remember seeing that error message when I tried to install Logos on an exFAT-formatted external drive (Logos will run fine - though officially unsupported - on external SSDs but the drive needs to be NTFS formatted) - maybe that's your issue?
If not that, it would probably be good to have FL tech support log on remotely into your computer and install Logos.
Have joy in the Lord!
