Lower Thirds not showing live video

I have followed the steps for using the "lower thirds" to show lyrics over the live video in OBS, but I get a black screen over the live video. I cannot figure out what setting I have missed that makes that happen.

Here are some of the settings:

I used the "add smart media" with a lower thirds slide selected. Not sure whats going on.

Make sure you have selected the correct transparency color in your display settings, probably green. My display title is 28E850, your is NDI. It has to match the color that OBS is expecting but I think green is the default.

That black box is showing in proclaim… I kinda think you may have your video input on in proclaim And that is showing the black box.
you can go to settings > video input and disable it. Then it will show your video in OBS
