BUG: Verbum Now feature set & Logos 10 packages

As has happened on previous releases, someone forgot to make sure that Verbum Now subscribers have access to the Logos libraries without having to buy a feature set to go with them. (The Verbum ones are working.)

Please fix so that I can start my shopping in earnest.

This is not a bug per se.

In order to craft the best possible product for the Verbum user, the Verbum full feature has different contents than the Logos full feature set. We add some items that Logos omits, and we omit some items that Logos adds.

A byproduct of this is that our website doesn't recognize that our Verbum Now audience is eligible to purchase Logos libraries without purchasing a Logos feature set.

The good news is that our phone sales representatives are ready, willing, and able to help our Verbum Now customers purchase whatever library they wish.

Unfortunately, that phone option is not particularly helpful for people who want to analyze and compare every different library option and combination thereof across not only all Verbum packages but also several Logos package lines for pricing purposes. For those with academic discounts such that the 30% discount is not a first-10-purchase-only reality, there are real savings to be had by making multiple, separate purchases at different levels (as was the case for Logos/Verbum 9), which further complicates the process.

I'm not arguing with your decision to offer a different set of features in the Full Feature Set (which I believe happened in version 9 as well)... just very inconvenienced by its seemingly unavoidable consequences for my Library shopping this time around.

I assume that if one buys both Verbum and Logos packages, one gets ALL the datasets and features. If not, I suggest that a Universal Package needs to be developed which gives one all the features of both products.

There was a recent thread about some anti-Catholic content in Logos. I think it might have been sermon illustrations or quotes. I am interested to watch what is and is not in both feature sets.

    MJ,

If one purchases both Verbum and Logos packages, dynamic pricing handles the feature set differences quite handily. It is only when features are purchased through a subscription model that this becomes a challenge to be solved by our sales representatives.

In-Cart dynamic pricing was implemented to solve the problem of having to make multiple separate purchases to get the best deal. You should be able to throw all of the desired libraries in your cart, and have Dynamic pricing give you the best deal. Our phone sales team is also has a dynamic pricing tool in their toolbox to get your the best price without having to chart a circuitous path.

One that is better than the one built into the website, which cannot handle discount rates that differ between levels within the same tradition?

At any rate, in the end I used a workaround--a FL Connect free trial subscription.
