Search issues with Autocompleter and "auto search" in L10.1 beta 1

I'm trying to do a Bible search for

person:God BEFORE person:Jesus BEFORE person:"Holy Spirit"

and I'm using the autocompleter so start with God and select the option from the dropdown then add operator BEFORE and enter Jesus and select from the dropdown and so on.

The search actually runs after the first autocomplete term has been filled in and then the second and so on. I don't find this helpful and would prefer it if the software waited until I pressed Return at the end of entering the search term. I know this was discussed during the L10 beta process but wanted to flag it again

But I've also noted the following - if I have the search currently filled in to this point

and if I now select the Holy Spirit option from the dropdown, the second term is removed

This bug is also present in L10.0 (so not introduced in this beta)

Replicated in V10.1 Beta 1 for Bible searches.

At first I missed the "Bible" part and tried "All", which works.

Hi Graham--Thanks for the report.  re: the bug above where the "second term is removed", this should be fixed in Beta 2.

The auto-execution is working as intended, but we'll flag your preference again to the product team.  In the meantime, if you really want to avoid auto execution, you can open your query with a "(" ... this will prevent auto execution until you close the query out with the final associated ")" ... maybe impractical, but wanted to mention in case you happen to find it useful.

    Thanks again,

    Thanks Ronny

Appreciate the information about the bug - and the suggested workaround.
